At AROS the in-home assessment leads to each Participants Personal Care Program. The Personal Care Program is a customized, detailed guide followed by our caregivers to deliver all day-to-day services for your loved one. Arthritis, physical disabilities, and age-related conditions are some of the few circumstances that prevent Participants from caring for themselves. Independent living can be maintained with assistance in several areas including:
Daily living services:
- Personal hygiene
- Bathing and showering
- Hair care
- Mouth care
- Toileting
- Dressing
- Help with moving around the home.
- Bedtime assistance and tuck-in
- Medication reminders
Our personal care program includes light housekeeping tasks such as:
- Laundry
- Dusting
- Mopping
- Vacuuming
- Trips to the doctor, appointments & outside activities
- Cleaning the bathroom
- Shopping
- Running errands
- Meal preparation

Flexibility is built into each Personal Program. Experienced caregivers are available as often as requested or your schedule requires.
Helping Patients Dress, Assisting Patients with Personal Hygiene, Taking and Recording Vital Signs, Cooking Meals for Patients, Washing Dishes, Laundering Linen and Clothing, Cleaning Patients' Homes, Running Errands for Patients, Providing Emotional Support to Patients and Their Family Members, Educating Patients and Family Members on Proper Home Healthcare, Teaching Family Members How to Use Medical Equipment.

If your family member is confined to a bed, our Personal Support Program provides, diaper changes and repositioning through our professional Caregiving staff.

Companion Care
Through illness, injury or other aspects of aging, some older adults become less socially and physically active over time. Resulting feelings of isolation can lead to increased mental and physical health risks, such as high blood pressure, obesity, anxiety, depression, and cognitive decline, according to the National Institute on Aging (NIA). Fortunately, companion care may be a helpful option for those faced with isolation or declining activity levels. Our goal is to help individuals and their loved ones live happy and fulfilling lives.
AROS Companions will assist with:
- Food shopping
- Meal preparation
- Shopping at the mall
- Running errands
- Traveling
- Light housekeeping such as dusting, vacuuming, and mopping.
- Laundry
- Socialization mental stimulation such as letter writing, reading, playing games, and listening to their favorite music.
- Accompanying Participants to the doctor, hairdresser, and other appointments
- Taking them to events or social engagements

Therapeutic Activity Services
At AROS our Therapeutic Activity Coordinators assist Participants with reaching their full potential.
Our coordinators organize person-centered activities and engagements that meet the needs of the Participant while supporting both their physical and mental wellbeing.
Our activities coordinators don’t just engage with participants to create the most suitable activities programmed for their needs and enjoyment, they also oversee the activities taking place including any staff and volunteers who are involved. Arranging adequate and appropriate staffing for activities, events and outings is a priority, as well as ordering any supplies required.
Therapeutic Activity Coordinator will:
- Building a rapport with Participants and talking with them about what activities they may enjoy.
- Organize activities that are tailored to the needs of the Participant, making any reasonable adjustments as required to help support participation.
- Provide group and individual activities such as Arts and crafts, Singing and music activities, Games nights, Movie night, Theme parties, Book clubs etc.
- Booking external entertainment, outings, transport, etc.
- Being on hand to set up and tidy away when activities are taking place.
- Helping the Participant and service users to engage in active participation through helping them to socialize, maintain relationships and enjoy an inclusive life.
- Making sure all environments being used are safe and appropriate.
- Maintaining accurate records.
- Having responsibility for managing budgets.
